In March 2008, Brinley Price turned 9 years old. She decided to suggest donations for Global Angels in lieu of her friends giving her gifts.

She anticipated raising about 20 GBP, but instead raised close to 200 due to the generosity of her friends. Her family filled out the amount so that it could be an even 200. She happily donated the money to Global Angels knowing that it would help feed and educate 5 children in the world.

What a wonderful Angel! Thank you Brinley!

Olivia De'ath and Madeleine Halls decided to do a sponsored swim to raise money for Feed a Child for a year. They each swam a mile without stopping. They only wanted to raise £40, and managed to raise £240, feeding and educating six children for an entire year.

Madeleine says "When we finished we were both really proud of what we had done. I have never done anything like this before and I was really surprised that I managed it. We are so pleased that we did this and we hope we can make a difference to someone’s life. There are lots of people that need help and we hope we have inspired people to help them."

Well you girls definitely inspired me! Well done, we are so proud of you!

Rachael Furner, our ambassador did a show at the Soundhause in August to raise money for Global Angels. She said: "I thought that a great way to raise some money for Global Angels would be to put on a gig at a local venue. I asked three other bands to play and between us we sold out. It was an amazing experience. The place really rocked and not only did everyone have a fantastic night, but we also raised loads of cash. It also meant that I could talk about GA to around 200 people at the same time:)"

Well done Rachael!
  July 2007

On the 2nd of July the year 10 students at Bretton Woods School had a Step UP Dress UP day.
They spent the whole day dressed as angels, YES, with wings and halo’s! At each break time they Stepped UP in the quad and sang to the students!
They did this in order to raise money for the Global Angels Feed a Child Campaign, which meant that every £40 they raised, fed and educated a child in Africa for a year. They aimed to feed 20 children in the poorest countries, as a legacy to their years of education at Bretton Woods!

There kids are true Angels and we are so proud of you!!!

May saw the launch of our Little Angels blog! It’s an amazing interative site to enable all Little Angels the opportunity to chat about any burning issue they want to talk about involving children all around the world. It also gives you the chance to tell us what you think, any ideas you have on how to get involved and how to raise money to help children in need. We can't wait to hear from you! What are you waiting for! :)

"I think that Global Angels are doing some amazing work to help kids around the world. Most of us in the UK are really lucky to live the lives we do. I believe if everyone donates some time and money to this worthwhile charity we can turn some of these childrens' lives around. I just can't stand the thought of my little cousins suffering and being treated like slaves as some of these kids are."

We have some amazing year 4 Little Angels in Glendower Preparatory School in South Kensington!

They have already raised over £2,640 for our Feed A Child campaign by holding a sponsored swim on the 5th of February 2007

By swimming loads of lengths of the pool, they have been able to sponsor 66 children to go to school in Mozambique and to have food every day for a whole year. How cool is that!

Thank you Angels so much for all of your hard work.
