We were able to feed 257 kids in in the program in 2007. In 2008 this figure has gone up to 301 as the children go back to school in January. Hard Rock Cafe have partnered with Global Angels to cover most of the sponsorship for these children this year. We have some fantastic feedback from the school on the success of the program, including 25 children who will go on to secondary school this year. This has never happened before....... Her photos of women and girls in their teens, survivors of indiscriminate brutal rapes from soldiers, are featured front page, alongside Jeffrey Gettleman's compassionate report on their plight. Hazel is often on the front lines working through her photography to champion the causes of woman and children in some of the most dangerous places on earth. She captures the beauty and humanity of real people and brings their true stories to us, the public. We find our hearts are strengthened and energised to keep helping marginalised people fight their battle to be respected as human beings and to find freedom and safety for themselves and their children. Click Here to read article in the New York Times   15,000 in Mozambique Get Clean Water for the First Time   Global Angels Ambassador Amy Carter, is also an award winning social entrepreneur. We have partnered over this last year in a brand new nutritional feeding program with Amy in Mozmbique providing almost 300 children with food and education this last year. She reports on the partnership between Global Angels, GKN and NEMA to provide fresh clean water in a large well drilling project in the nearby area, and mosquito nets to prevent malaria. Press Here to Read the Report   Report on Provision of Water Filters for Families in Rural Cambodia   In partnership with Drop4 Drop and Hagar, Global Angels launched our provision of water filters and wells for families in Cambodia. At present, only 31 percent of the rural population of Cambodia has access to safe water.Villagers depend largely on unprotected wells, ponds or rivers as their main sources of drinking water, while tap water in the cities is undrinkable and polluted. All water needs to be boiled for a long time, using scarce firewood. The country’s high infant mortality rate of 97 out of every 1,000 live births can be partly attributed to bad water and poor sanitation. Click here to read the report   VIEW SITE MAP
