His credits as vocal trainer and voice teacher include being commissioned by American Idol Season 8, 9, 10, and 11 as a vocal teacher for the touring Idols, and working privately with Adam Lambert, Jordin Sparks, Allison Iraheta, David Cook, Lee DeWyze, Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery and others. He continues to provide vocal support for American Idol and 19 Management regularly.

After giving Justin Timberlake voice lessons, and working with artists on Justin’s Interscope label, Tenman Records, including YouTube stars Desmee Denters, Brenda Radney, Elliot and Free from Freesoul. He helps prepare new artists for the market and established artists for the demands of hectic tour schedules. Some of the singers that have come through his studio include: Cee Lo Green, Natasha Bedingfield, Dan Wilson, Mike Posner, Zach Porter (All Star Weekend), Pierre Bouvier, The Sons of Sylvia, Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Ben Folds, Matt Scannell, The Cheetah Girls, Abraham McDonald, Scott Stapp (Creed), Terry Ellis (EnVogue), Evan Rachel Wood, Val Kilmer, Luke Perry, KeKe Palmer (Akeelah and the Bee), Rain (K-pop), Brian Wilson, Topol (fiddler on the roof), George Takei and many others. c

He has also work with many musical theatre actors and have had students in the national companies of Rent, Mamma Mia, The Lion King, Fiddle on the Roof, etc.

Moreover, Dave has given many lectures on vocal process and development at many prestigious places around the world including: National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, National Association of Teachers of Singing, Stanford University, University of Southern California, San Francisco Conservatory, Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, Kunstuniversitaet Graz in Austria, and numerous other jazz organizations and societies including the Jazz School in Berkeley, California and Jazz Camp West.

Dave is committed to the goals and growth of each of his students in a unique and individual way. Each person he works with brings with them different hopes and dreams and he spends time listening to that and honoring each singer's creative path.
