Angels in Action Volunteer Adventure in Kenya
Embark on an enriching journey with Global Angels Founder Molly Bedingfield to our Tsavo Project in Kenya. This is more than just a trip – it’s a hands-on experience where you’ll discover the heart of our sustainable community model and immerse yourself in life-changing initiatives that empower local families and build long-term resilience.
Your stay in the Eco-Dome Village on the Global Angels Farm is all about connection and impact. You’ll work alongside our dedicated local team on projects that range from constructing rainwater catchment systems and building super adobe domes with earthbags, to planting indigenous trees and forest garden orchards. Get involved in cultivating our shade houses and organic farm, and help plant or harvest pomegranates, papayas, moringa, and pigeon peas.
As part of the adventure, you’ll connect with the community on a personal level. Visit local families at their smallholding homes, work with them directly, and see the impact of our school feeding program using fresh produce from our farm. You’ll also get to explore schools where we’ve built classrooms and experience the daily life of the community firsthand.
In the evenings, gather with fellow volunteers and our team to reflect on your discoveries and share insights. It’s a powerful time to discuss ideas, inspire one another, and feel the impact of your work. This immersion also offers space for personal transformation, as each day leaves you with new perspectives and connections.
Your accommodation is part of the adventure, too. You’ll stay in our Eco-Dome Village, where local community members have developed skills in sustainable building by creating these unique earthen domes. You’ll also enjoy a stay at Ngutuni Lodge, nestled within a private game sanctuary adjacent to Tsavo East National Park. From the lodge, you can watch zebras, giraffes, elephants, and maybe even lions gathering at the water hole—a perfect way to experience Kenya’s incredible wildlife up close.
Join us on one of our Angels in Action Volunteer Adventures, where every moment brings you closer to nature, to the community, and to yourself – leaving a lasting impact for both you and Tsavo.
Our Home Base - Global Angels Eco Dome Village
Our journey begins with a relaxing stay at Ngutuni Lodge, where you’ll have the chance to unwind, soak in the serene atmosphere, and observe Kenya’s incredible wildlife up close. Set within a private game sanctuary, Ngutuni offers a safari-like experience with views of zebras, elephants, giraffes, and possibly even lions at the water hole—a perfect way to ease into the rhythm of Tsavo.
After two nights and four early morning and late afternoon safari trips ,we’ll transition to the heart of our project at the Global Angels Farm, where the Eco-Dome Village becomes our home base. Built by local community members, these sustainable earthen domes maintain a comfortable temperature of 21–24°C, thanks to their thermal mass and thoughtful ventilation, providing a cool refuge from the warmer daytime climate.
Our Eco-Dome Village is nestled on a hillside below the forest, surrounded by the natural beauty of Tsavo. Each day, you’ll wake up immersed in nature and ready to work on meaningful projects alongside our local team and community members.
Meals at the Eco-Dome Village are prepared with fresh ingredients sourced directly from our farm, including eggs from our chickens and ducks, honey from our bees, milk from our goats, and a variety of organic vegetables, bananas, papayas, and other tropical fruits. Every meal celebrates the rich flavors of locally grown produce and sustainable farming.
Our time in the Eco-Dome Village brings us closer to the resilient community here, offering you a firsthand experience of sustainable living and a deeper understanding of the impact we’re creating together.
