Raphaella is an Artist/Songwriter Producer/Singer-Songwriter from North London by way of Isfahan, Raphaella draws on her mixed heritage, introducing new timbres and textures to her UK alt-electro setting through the experimental use of traditional Persian instruments and an obsession with synths, creating an intoxicating mix into her productions and writing that bring her sound to life on stage visually as well as musically. A self-confessed bookworm, Raphaella draws inspiration lyrically from the Persian poets Rumi and Hafez, as well as from her own experiences and from the world around her.

Raphaella’s songs, collaborations and guest features are topping Billboard and Music Weeks Charts, garnering premieres with tastemakers Billboard, Clash, Wonderland, etc. and can be heard on TV syncs and store playlists around the world. Radio 1’s Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Danny Howard and Radio 1Xtra’s Mistajam, DJ Target and Friction are all big supporters of Raphaella’s Artist collaborations and features (Gorgon City ‘Smoke’, Michael Calfan ‘Thorns’, Dimension ‘Pull Me Under’, Culture Shock ‘Have It All’, Zed Bias ‘Dropping Like Flies’ and Midnight City ‘Just Like That’).

Classically trained, and graduating top in her class with a 1st class honours degree in Music, Raphaella is a Platinum selling songwriter and published by Phrased Differently. A professional songwriter Raphaella attends International songwriting camps, writes for Artists around the world and has scored and written for BBC Radio 4 and written songs for the winners of the worldwide TV show ‘The Voice’, K-Pop’s boy band EXO, Namie Amuro, Yellow Claw, The Electric Zoo Festival, Honorata Skarbeck, Chenoa, Nabiha and many more. Raphaella is currently producing and songwriting with among others Rudimental, Gorgon City and MNEK, Armin Van Buuren, Matrix & Futurebound, Wilkinson, Henri Pfr, Bless Beats, Diztortion, George Kwali, Watermat, Kideko, etc.

Raphaella first became aware of the Global Angels Charity when she was asked to perform at a gig fundraising for them when she was just 16 and went home with the distinct pale blue wristband stamped with GLOBAL ANGELS. While at University Raphaella had to run a Music event and immediately knew it was the perfect time to connect with Molly through Twitter to find out more about the charity and its 100% promise. The Bush Hall event raised awareness and funds for Global Angels and through working together Molly invited Raphaella to become an Ambassador for the charity.

Now as a Global Angels Ambassador Raphaella runs with the ‘Angel Runners’ team in the British 10k and has co-written and sings the Global Angels charity single ‘One Drop’
