Renate Doma

As a close friend of the Bedingfield family, Renate was very involved in the envisioning and formative phases of Global Angels, including the launch events in 2005. Having worked alongside Molly as a supporter and adviser, accompanying her on many project visits, she is passionate about seeing Global Angels thrive.

Between 2016-2018, Renate worked as Operations Manager for Global Angels International and subsequently became one of 5 Founding Directors of The Tsavo Project in Kenya.  Following her success in Kenya, it was a natural choice, to invite her to join the Board of Trustees in the UK, Ireland, and US.  Alongside her extensive and broad business experience, she brings her intense passion for creating a culture where disadvantaged people can survive and thrive.

Renate came to the UK to discover more about her love of music and the arts. Taking advantage of her upbringing and education, having worked in her father’s business in Germany, she supported herself and her young son by building a strong sales record in the Image and Movie Licensing Industry and running her own business for 13 years, selling luxury goods.

Her interest in production and event management took her to working for several non-profit organisations as an employee and a volunteer.  She has successfully managed teams of volunteers, gaining experience in directing and coordinating production with camera work and live broadcasts.  In her spare time, Renate is a keen photographer, and is passionate about storytelling, in whatever form it may take, i.e., film, theatre, or writing.

She is currently working as a freelance Business Coach and Marketing Adviser to CEOs and start-ups.  She provides independent insight, ensuring the effective implementation of decisions. Renate’s industry knowledge and best practices on business, ethical and financial issues is of great value to her clients.  Her visionary thinking about organisational direction is both refreshing and of tangible benefit to the senior leaders she is coaching.

In her spare time, Renate is a keen photographer and is passionate about storytelling, whatever form it might take (Film, Theatre, Writing).
