Life is a journey. For me it’s also an adventure, with the opportunity to encourage others to join me in making an impact in an area of life that really matters.
With the implications of climate change becoming so clear to us, I find myself thinking more and more about finding and applying solutions. I’m making changes to my lifestyle, from eating organic and local when I can, creating my own organic home garden, changing my wardrobe so I use sustainably produced clothing, to walking more and using public transport instead of my car.
Focusing my energy on developing our Tsavo Project as an inspirational model of rural transformation, becomes more important to me every day. Our goal is to see the community in Tsavo reaping the benefits of living a sustainable lifestyle. What this means is that we are working towards developing a circular economy model that is totally unique for the area. Impacting all areas of life, from how to collect and store rainwater, maximising it’s usage to growing produce organically, the model uses farming methods that honour and nourish the people as well as the environment.
It may be very challenging to achieve our goals, but I am deeply encouraged with our progress.

Here are some ways you can make a difference:
1. Join me on a Discovery Trip
As a personal development coach, I am often coaching influencers and leaders, supporting and facilitating them as they are going through transitional times looking for answers.
We have accommodated individuals and corporate groups on our Tsavo Discovery Trips, combining coaching with real life experiences. The learnings coming from working alongside our team, experiencing some of the challenges facing local families, together with additional coaching sessions, leads to life changing breakthroughs for many participants.
The picture on the left shows a Discovery team carrying heavy jerry cans to our farm base from a water hole 7km away. The aim is to help participants feel a little of what it is like for women and children who fetch water from long distances each day, just to provide for basic necessities. Every member of the team finds it challenging, and yet something achievable, as they work together.
Our next trips to the Tsavo Project are planned for April and September 2022. Robert Walters – Recruitment Consultancy are planning to join us again as part of their staff incentive and reward scheme, following up projects we have envisioned and partnered together on.
2. Set up a fundraiser and invite your friends
We are super excited to announce that we are now able to to host fundraising campaigns on our own website!
It is easy to set up and see the progress you are making in terms of raising money for your chosen project. We are very proud of our 100% Promise, which is our commitment to ensure that every penny we receive from the public will go directly to provide tangible on-the-ground resources in our projects bringing solutions such as safe drinking water, education and healthcare. For example, if your chosen project is to provide beehives for families in the Itinyi Valley, or to build a new water pan for the community to help capture and store rainwater, then every single penny we receive from your fundraiser will go to doing just that.
My birthday fundraiser to provide water tanks for families
For my birthday last week, I set up a fundraiser to raise funds to build brick water storage tanks for families in the Itinyi Valley as I am passionate about helping every family have easy access to water.

Tracy’s fundraiser to provide nutritious food to pre-school children
Tracy Williams, is passionate about making sure children and the poorest families in the Valley have access to nutritious food and education, and has set up a fundraiser to fund our school feeding program for 30 preschoolers.

Sandie Shaw’s fundraiser to give families beehives
English singer, Sandie Shaw, is aware of the issues we are facing with the decreasing bee population, and has decided to turn her concern into a campaign to inspire others and provide beehives for families in the Tsavo Project.
